Since 2014 the Svyatogorsk Lavra has been home to refugees. The majority of them are children. For this reason, it has become a tradition at the Lavra to hold children’s festivities.
Each Christmas and Pascha the youthful inhabitants of the Lavra prepare thematically appropriate performances. So that the children and their parents can have mementos of the occasion, the monastery’s photographer and camera operator capture it on film.
The Christmastide of 2024 will be no exception. Inasmuch as the Lavra came under fire in 2022, and its auditorium suffered damage, the event will have to be held in the pilgrims’ refectory.
However, these premises are not equipped with proper lighting equipment, without which photography will be difficult.
To make it possible for the event to be recorded in photos and videos, the Charity Foundation “Revival of Svatohirya” announces a collection of funds for the acquisition of special lighting apparatus, the Aputure Light Box 6090, which will make it possible to professionally record the event on film.
