Volunteers from the “Transfiguration” Center for Social Adaptation in Dnipro provide for the basic needs of around 30 people. The residents of the Center’s “House of Diligence” are people with disabilities, veterans, and displaced persons who have no one to turn to for assistance. Most of them are bedridden.
In addition to caring for permanent residents, the “House of Diligence” also welcomes anyone in need who comes asking for help. Some stay here for a day, others for three days. Here they are fed; if necessary, they are given clothes and footwear, and provided with the most essential over-the-counter medications.
Recently, one of the premises in the “House” underwent a major renovation. Metal bunk beds have already been welded for it. However, new mattresses are needed for these beds, as the old ones are no longer usable.
We ask all those who care to help purchase mattresses for the “House of Diligence”, so that its volunteers can assist even more people in need!
