Mikhail Mikhailovich Andritsio has been living in a world of muffled sounds for more than ten years. His hearing began to deteriorate rapidly after a severe bout of influenza around 2015. Since then he has been using hearing aids, which partially compensate for his hearing loss, but now his condition is deteriorating further. 

In July 2025, Mikhail underwent testing at a hearing rehabilitation center. His diagnosis: chronic bilateral sensorineural hearing loss of moderate severity: right ear - 89 dB, left ear - 83 dB. The tympanogram and pressure in the tympanic cavities are within normal range, which allows for effective use of hearing aids. Doctors recommend more powerful hearing aids that can compensate for hearing loss of up to 100 dB. 

For Mikhail, this is a chance to return to full-fledged interaction: hearing the voices of loved ones, the sounds of nature, the ringing of bells and the words of prayer in church. It is an opportunity to be part of the living world again.
