Raisa Mikhailovna is already 81 years old. She once lived in Donetsk, then moved to Svyatohirsk. Since March 2022, she has become one of the refugees who found shelter in the Svyatohirsk Lavra.

For cases like Raisa Mikhailovna’s, there is the «FreeStyle Libre 2» sensor — a medical device that automatically measures blood sugar levels around the clock. If critical values are detected, it alerts the smartphone of the diabetes patient or their caregiver.

The sensor is attached to the body (for example, to the arm) and works for two weeks, after which it needs to be replaced with a new one.

A set of six sensors costs 15,600 hryvnias. Two such sets will last for almost six months.
