Lyubov Alekseevna Prokusheva is 79. She is a refugee from Horlivka, where she spent almost all her life and where, if not for the war, she would have stayed until her last days.

In 2014, her relatives brought her to the city of Svyatohirsk. Prior to this, the elderly woman had spent much time under fire, taking shelter in the basement, hungry and thirsty, with almost no help from loved ones.

After this ordeal, Lyubov Alekseevna began to lose her eyesight and developed diabetes mellitus. The latter began to progress rapidly, so that one day in 2017, the level of glucose in her blood reached such critical levels that Lyubov Alekseevna was hospitalized.

In addition to type 2 diabetes, doctors diagnosed a number of other diseases: coronary heart disease, atherosclerotic cardiosclerosis, diabetic retinopathy, complicated (post-uveal) cataract of both eyes, and glaucoma.

The year 2022 brought new stresses. Lyubov Alekseevna again experienced the horrors of war and hunger, while facing the misunderstanding and even cruelty of people around her. All this, of course, affected her health. Her condition deteriorated significantly, she lost a lot of weight and almost completely lost her vision.

Doctors' consultations and treatment somewhat improved her condition. In particular, ophthalmologists corrected abnormal adhesion of the iris with the lens in both eyes. More surgeries are planned.

Lyubov Alekseevna needs regular medication, for which she has no money.
