Olga Vladimirovna was born in 1973 in the village of Bohorodychne, Kramatorsk district, Donetsk region. In the spring of 2022, due to the escalation of hostilities, she was forced to leave her native village. Since then, she has been living in a temporary accommodation center for refugees in the city of Svyatohirsk.
Since her youth, Olga Vladimirovna has repeatedly dislocated her right knee joint. In 1997 another dislocation was complicated by an interruption of blood flow in the popliteal artery, which was not noticed in time. Because of this, dry gangrene of the leg developed, and 24-year-old Olga had her right lower leg amputated, along with the knee. At that time Olga Vladimirovna received disability status. In addition, she has congenital myopia (nearsightedness) in both eyes and is now developing cataracts. Olga Vladimirovna also suffers from coronary heart disease and atherosclerotic cardiosclerosis.
Last winter Olga Vladimirovna was diagnosed with cancer. In March 2025 she underwent surgery in Kramatorsk, during which a sigmoid adenocarcinoma was removed. At the same time her gallbladder, in which stones had formed, was also removed; this saved Olga Vladimirovna from attacks of arrhythmia, which occurred after eating. Doctors also found that she had iron deficiency anemia.
After the operation, Olga Vladimirovna’s left leg swelled. Kramatorsk doctors diagnosed her with ileofemoral thrombosis of the veins of the left tibia and began anticoagulation therapy.
Olga Vladimirovna needs further treatment, for which she has no money. Therefore we ask caring individuals to respond and participate in this fundraiser on her behalf.
